Electrolysis

Did you know that Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method for permanent hair removal?

As your professional electrologist, technology has allowed me to utilize the best in state-of-the-art equipment such as the Apilus XCell Pur. The Apilus XCellPur is engineered to provide for more comfortable, quicker, and precise treatment of permanent hair removal. This office uses the most stringent sterilization methods as well as insulated, disposable probes.

How it works:

A fine probe is inserted directly into the hair follicle along the side of the the hair without harming or puncturing the skin.  A small amount of electrical current eventually destroys the hair root germ cells preventing regrowth.  Once the hair has been treated it will glide out.  You may feel a slight tingle or warm sensation.  For the hair to be permanently removed, it is necessary for the tip of the probe to reach the bottom of the follicle where current destroys the source of hair growth.  Distorted or curved follicles may prevent accurate insertions. Each hair follicle also has its own growth cycle which will be discussed in your complimentary consultation.

Be Hair Free:

Continued frequent treatments are necessary for permanent results. The number of sessions will vary for each individual.  Unwanted hair will be gone forever when your treatments are completed.

After Treatment:

You may experience some redness or swelling after treatment and will subside within a couple hours sometimes less.  Tiny, pinpoint eschars may appear in a day or two. This is your body's natural healing process and should be of no concern.  Many hairs that apperar to be regrowth are actually from new follicles or a weaker version of a treated hair.  Hair begins to grow, reaches maximum size, sheds, and eventually replaced by new hairs.  For 24 hours after your treatment, keep the area clean and us antiseptic such as witch hazel and aloe vera to prevent irritation or infection. Avoid sun bathing and use SPF minimum 15 when going outdoors.
